The driver on the bus...

bus

This is a shout out to every bus driver out there. You are rock stars! Bus drivers have a tremendous responsibility and are not appreciated nearly enough. I have been blessed in my time as an educator with some of the best drivers. Our drivers are part of our team. They have always worked with us to ensure our friends get what they need. Showing up each day because my friend A. depended on him. Working with us so my friend M. could ride safely (and remain clothed) for the duration of his ride. Knowing my friend E’s. favorite tunes and playing them on the bus every day. Returning to school after a completed route because a friend left their backpack on the bus. Finding a way to get me back to my school because I needed to ride the bus with a friend. I have countless memories of heartfelt efforts on behalf of each and every one of my friends. For this alone, I am grateful. My friends loved their drivers almost as much as they loved the bus. The only way Early Childhood/4K could have been any better is if our classroom was in a school bus. And for the love of all things coconut, if the red lights are flashing and the stop sign is out, stop. Just stop. Don’t be a jackass.
